Middle School Art Club Mural
This past fall (2023), Middle School Art Club members designed and created a mural for the new Treehouse Reading Nook at Byron Preschool. They interviewed preschoolers to get ideas for animals and things to include in the forest themed mural. They painted hidden images into the scene including a fairy, bigfoot, and a dragon. Middle School students also added layered images of their choice to finish off the mural. Community Education received a Byron Impact Grant to furnish Treehouse Reading Nook this winter. The space is now a cozy spot for Preschool, Teddy Bear Child Care and Early Childhood Family Education programs to support beginning readers!
