Summer Program
SUMMER PK ~ Our summer program provides fun and educational child care for kids who will be entering kindergarten through 6th grade in the coming fall. Please note, pre-kindergarten children must have attended our PK Teddy Bears Program during the school year to attend in the summer.
CUB CADETS >> During the summer, children entering kindergarten thru 3rd grade are located at the Byron Primary School (BPS) from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
GRIZZLIES >> Children entering 4th thru 6th grade are located at the BPS from 6:00 to 7:15 AM, then the Bryon Intermediate School (BIS) from 7:15 AM to 4:45 PM, then the BPS again from 4:45 to 6:00 PM.

Primary School >> PK's 2025 Summer Program is currently at maximum capacity for children entering kindergarten thru 3rd grade. We are only accepting applications for those wishing to place their K-3rd child(ren) on the waiting list.
Intermediate School >> There are only a couple of summer spots left for children entering 4th thru 6th grade.
Important Notes
Program Capacity
HEADS UP! Project Kids commonly reaches maximum enrollment capacity during each program registration period. Submitting an application does not in any way guarantee acceptance into the program. In addition, PK may find it necessary to reduce attendance capacity on any given day due to space limitations, staff-to-child ratio requirements, and/or other considerations.
Billing Contract
If your child is accepted into PK’s summer session, you will enter into a billing contract and will be required to pay for a minimum of 4 days per week—regardless if your child attends fewer days (excludes days PK is closed). Each child will be granted up to 4 free absent days for the summer; parents/guardians MUST notify the PK Program Coordinator when they wish to use each credit.
Scheduling to Attend PK
Project Kids requires all children to have accurate attendance schedules during the summer. Parents and guardians utilize an online portal, called MyProcare, to manage their child(ren)'s anticipated Before School and/or After School attendance.
