The registration period for Before School and After School child care during the 2026-2027 school year begins at 7:00 AM on Wednesday, June 10. If a child is accepted into the before school and/or after school sessions, they will automatically be enrolled in the Non-School Day care option.
The registration period for the Non-School Days ONLY child care option begins at 7:00 AM on Wednesday, June 24.

2026-2027 Enrollment
The enrollment application period for the PK Teddy Bears Program (preK ages 3+) for the 2026-2027 school year begins March 18, 2026, at 7:00 AM. Families will be notified of their child's placement by the end of April.

IMPORTANT!! Please review all available documents for the Teddy Bears program, as they have important details that families must be aware of prior to applying.
ENROLLMENT APPLICATION
IMPORTANT!! There are a limited number of enrollment spots available for each of the child care options. All families are encouraged to submit their child(ren)'s Teddy Bears application(s) as soon as possible after the child care registration period begins, but only AFTER receiving class confirmation from the Byron Preschool program. Submitting an application does NOT in any way guarantee acceptance into PK Teddy Bears.
PROCEDURES
The primary application period for the Teddy Bears school year program typically occurs from mid-March through late April. If the program is not at full capacity after the initial round, enrollment would continue until all spots are filled.
Factors that are considered during the application review process generally include the age of a child, number of care days needed, and date/time an application is received. If maximum capacity is reached, a waiting list would be generated.
For families wishing to enroll more than one child into the program, please complete a separate application for each.
If your child is accepted into the program for any or all of your selected options, a registration fee will apply and payment will be due within one week of your notice to hold your child’s spot >> Do NOT submit payment with your child’s application. When the time comes, please make your check or money order payable to Byron Project Kids and turn it in at the Community Education Center (CEC).
IMPORTANT!! Please do NOT submit your child's Teddy Bears application until after you have received their Byron Preschool class confirmation.

Children must be enrolled at least 24 hours prior to attending PK.

During enrollment, it is critical that you let us know of any health/medical conditions your child has that may need special attention while attending Project Kids.

Please notify the PK Program Coordinator if you are in need of childcare financial assistance; restrictions may apply.
ATTENTION!!
All preschoolers who are enrolled in the PK Teddy Bears Program must have a set schedule of anticipated attendance for the school year, via contract. Your child’s schedule/contract will be based on the child care option(s) and specific days you indicate on their enrollment application. Your pre-arranged contract will be used each week for billing purposes, regardless if your child attends or not (excludes days PK is closed).
