M/W/F AM - 4-5 year olds

T/Th Full Day - 4-5 year olds
T/Th Full Day - 3 year olds
T/Th AM - 3 year olds

Preschool Classes with 3 spots or less remaining:

M/W/F AM - 3 year olds (1 spot)
M-F Full Day - 4-5 year olds (1 spot)
T/Th AM - 4-5 year olds (1 spot)
M-F AM Preschool Plus 4-5 year olds (8 spots)

All registration steps must be completed before a class placement is made.

Registrations are processed on a first come, first served basis.

The application period for PK's Teddy Bears Program (preK ages 4+) for the 2025-2026 school year begins is open. Documents and Enrollment Application for 25-26 are available on the Project Kids Child Care Program Registration Page.
August 8: Final registration deadline for guaranteed start on September 2.

Online Registration

Online Registration in Infinite Campus for 2025-26 school year opens on February 20th!Infinite Campus is the student information system for Byron Public Schools. Parents can access grades, pay fees, complete annual updates, etc. for K-12 students. Preschool families must complete an online registration in Infinite Campus each year for their Preschool student.

Be sure to select the 2025-26 school year and Preschool as the school.

Please note that enrollment in Preschool does not guarantee enrollment in Kindergarten. Non-Resident Families must submit an application for open enrollment for Kindergarten.

If you do not already have a Class Registration account with Byron Community Education, please use this link if you need instructions to create one. Please be sure that your new preschooler is listed on your account with his or her age.

The Class Registration system is used for tuition billing and making payments. The system issues monthly invoices to families on the 28th of the month. You can also set up recurring payments before school starts so you never miss a tuition payment!

Pay $75 Registration Fee

This is the non-refundable Preschool Registration fee. It covers the administrative costs for processing registration and assigning class placements.

Early Childhood Screening

Every preschool student needs to have an Early Childhood Screening completed before or within 90 days of starting Preschool (for 2025-26, the 90-day deadline is December 1, 2025).

If not yet completed, please schedule an ECS appointment in Class Registration.

If you have completed an Early Childhood Screening in another district, please let us know which district completed the screening (email katie.schmitt@byron.k12.mn.us).

Click here to learn more about screenings and how to set up an appointment if your child needs one. Children need to by 3 years old by the appointment date. Your child needs to complete the Early Childhood Screening one time.

Spring 2025 Dates: February 11, March 11, and April 8

Fall 2025 Dates: September 9, September 16, October 21, October 28, November 11, and November 18

Preschool Classes

What to expect after you complete registration

Our team reviews incoming registrations weekly for completeness. If you are missing information, we will contact you by the email provided on the class preference form. Missing items need to be completed before we can finalize enrollment and class placement.

Class placements will be made before Spring Break for registrations completed by March 7th. Byron residents who complete registration on or before March 7 will receive priority placement in our preschool classes. After March 7, registrations will be placed on a first come, first served basis.

Byron Preschool reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. If a class does not meet class minimums to run, we will contact you with options.

You will receive an email from our team with your child's class placement. Enrollments in Preschool Classes in the Class Registration system will take place in early April. You will receive an email confirmation with tuition information.

Teacher assignments are made in August. You will receive an email with information about your teacher assignment and a digital welcome packet prior to the start of school. Please note that Preschool Teacher assignments will arrive later than the Primary or Intermediate School as we have a later start date. Following the teacher assignment, you will set up a time to meet your child's teacher at Before School Conferences - August 25-27th.

Tuition is billed monthly and the first invoices for the 2025-26 school year will be sent on August 28th for September 2025. Instructions for paying tuition are emailed to families in August.

For Students Receiving Special Education Services

If your child is receiving early childhood special education services, you will need to complete the following registration items:

Online registration for the 2024-25 school year (see instructions below)
Consult with the Early Childhood Special Education team to determine class options for your child.

Step 1:

Before you begin please gather the following:

Household information: address and phone numbers
Parent information: cell and work phone numbers, email addresses
Student information: health and medications
Emergency contacts: phone numbers (minimum 2)
Preschool registration: birth certificate and completed Immunization Form or a copy from your medical provider

Step 3:

Once your application has been submitted for enrollment into the Byron Public Schools, a staff member from the school will review and approve your application.
Watch your EMAIL for further notifications. (Also check your spam box if you have not received an email after you begin the process)
